GPT-3 With the Wand of Death is an AI-generated text-based roguelike in the spirit of Nethack. Hack and slash your way through a sprawling surrealist dungeon designed by the twisted mind of GPT-3! Generated "dungeon" levels are seamlessly stitched together, making every playthrough a new experience.

Given the prohibitive cost of generating game content with GPT-3, we opted to have all players use the same, rather expansive, game tree. At the time of release, we only has a couple dozen events that give a rough structure to the narrative of the game. But as time goes on, the game will automatically generate new events, new decisions, and (we hope) new kinds of adventures.

Players rate the AI-generated events and decisions. These ratings help our system determine which events and choices are working and which ones are not. GPT-3 With the Wand of Death is designed to adjust to player preferences and change to fit the interest of the playerbase.
